The Child Care Food Program, located at 435 Mail Street in Paterson, New Jersey, began providing meal service to day care and after-school programs under the sponsorship of the Father English Multi-Purpose Community Center in 1975. The program is “in-house”, and provides food service year round to: A Child’s Words, A World of Colors, A Child’s Time, The After-school and Summer School Age Child Care Program. The Program provides meal service to children ranging from 18 months to 12 years of age. The type of meal service varies according to the specific programs. Preschoolers and kindergartners receive breakfast, lunch and a p.m. supplement. After-school and Summer Program participants receive a p.m. supplement and dinner. Referrals are received through the agency’s pre-school, kindergarten and after school programs. The Child Care Food Application/applicants must meet state eligibility requirements. The CCF Program is funded solely through the New Jersey Department of Agriculture, Bureau of Child Nutrition Programs. No fee is charged. |
